Several women’s rights activists in Afghanistan held a candlelight ceremony in solidarity with Iran’s women, including Mahsa (Zhina) Amini.
This ceremony was held on Friday evening (23, Sep) in Kabul and Afghan women declared their solidarity with Iranian women by chanting the slogan “Woman, Life, Freedom”.
The slogan:( Woman, Life, Freedom ) is one of the main slogans of the protesters of Mahsa Amini’s death in Iran.
The organizers of this ceremony also chanted the slogan “Last fight against Islamic fundamentalism in Kabul and Tehran”.
One of the organizers of this candlelight ceremony told the media: “As long as authoritarian, fascist, and anti-women regimes rule in Iran and Afghanistan, Rakhshanas, Farkhundas, and Mahsas will be killed every day.”
She added: “This pain and tyranny will end when all of us, as one, rise to fight against the fundamentalist regimes of Kabul and Tehran.”
Since the death of Mahsa Amini due to the beating by morality police and the beginning of protests by the people of Iran, Afghan citizens, especially women, have widely supported these protests and said that the women of the two countries suffer from a common pain.
